Bedminster almost makes Bristol proud for bike theft social experiment

Bristol just missed out being the most honest and trustworthy city after a social experiment conducted by insurer MORE TH>N.

The insurance company left a brand new bike unsecured and unattended in busy locations in ten UK cities.

The bikes were then observed and the time taken for thieves to liberate them was recorded.

Liverpool came top of the ‘honesty’ charts after the bike remained untouched for 3 hours 52 minutes.

Bristol came second with 3 hours 15 minutes. The bicycle was left in the Bedminster area. Chopsy Baby assume that had it been left in the Southville area of Bedminster, it would have been escorted to the police station and given a Fairtrade Latte for its trouble.

Unsurprisingly, London came bottom of the charts, leaving residents to ponder exactly how it managed to survive a whole 17 minutes before disappearing.

The number of bikes stolen off the UK streets has increased to a staggering 300,000 every year.
