Students celebrate excellent exam results

Students in Bristol have been celebrating another year of good A-level results with 47 per cent achieving an A or B grade.

Results overall were strong with a pass rate of 97 per cent.

The City of Bristol College reported its highest ever A-level pass rate at 97 per cent.

St Mary Redcliffe and Temple School also saw good results at the higher A and B grades with 57 per cent passing at this level.

Bristol City Council’s Cabinet Member for Children and Young People, Councillor Clare Campion-Smith said: “Congratulations to all the young people whose hard work has resulted in these excellent results. Thanks are also due to their families, teachers and all the school staff who have supported and encouraged them. To get these results, students have had to work consistently hard over two years.
