Overstory Broadmead Bristol Events Continues

If you’ve been to Broadmead in Bristol this August, you will have probably noticed Overstory. It’s an art installation created by Ivan Morison and Heather Peak which has been inspired by native trees and tree coverage in Bristol.
The event has been brought to the city by The Natural History Consortium, the charity behind Bristol’s Festival of Nature, as part of the post-covid Bristol City Centre and High Streets Recovery and Renewal programme.
The artwork aims to spark interest and discussion around the importance of trees in our lives as well as tree canopy coverage across the city.
Savita Willmott, Chief Executive of The Natural History Consortium, said: “We are delighted to announce Overstory, following a hugely successful Festival of Nature in June. We can’t wait to see the installation once it’s up, filling Broadmead with the wonders of nature.”
The installations will be in Broadmead until 30 August 2022. They can be found on Broadmead between Barclay’s Bank and Tesco Metro.
