Learn how to cut costs with £1 per day author

A Bristol writer will be visiting a Clifton Library to talk to people about how she spent one year living on just £1 every day.
Kath Kelly will be giving a talk about her experiences and her book “How I Lived a Year on Just a Pound a Day” aiming to give people ideas about how to make their cash go further.
Kath spent a year living on the meager amount after making a drunken bet with friends. She says: “There were highs and lows. My bike was stolen just a few weeks into the year and there were times when it rained heavily, day after day, and there was nothing for it but to get soaked with a bagful of dry clothes to change into at work. But the most amazing thing was a holiday romance – a free holiday, naturally – when love blossomed amid the organic vegetables. I now live with the love of my life!”
Kath will be at Clifton Library on Wednesday 23 September, from 7.30 to 9pm. Tickets for this event cost £2 (including refreshments) and are available in advance from the Clifton Library on Princess Victoria Street. For further information telephone Clifton Library on (0117) 903 8572
