In a baffling display of shot put skill or even climbing – and most definitely a feat of determination – a free standing pedestrian railing has managed to find itself wedged high up in a tree.

Facing Vision Express on Broadmead, the barrier is likely to weigh upwards of 9kg.

The bizarre sight greeting shoppers is going to need a cherry picker sent out for its removal.
