Traffic in Bristol too loud
Traffic noise in Bristol is too loud according to a survey by Bristol City Council.
The Quality of Life survey found that 45 per cent of people living in Bristol are bothered by traffic noise in the city.
Now, a noise action plan will be written up for the city by the Department for the Environment Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA).
Working in partnership with the city council, they will word to address and tackle the noise hot spots and protect quieter areas.
Residents can log on to a consultation website to add their views in online discussion until 31 December 2009.
