Carollers not welcome

The tradition of singing Christmas carols at people’s doors may soon fizzle out as residents don’t want them.

According to a survey commissioned by Ecclesiastical church insurance provider, 29% of UK residents don’t want carol singers to come to their house. Like many of us, 19 per cent won’t be answering the door when they knock and 3 per cent will ask them to leave.

Perhaps fed up of doling out cash or ASBO behaviour, 73 per cent said that carollers are less welcome on the doorstep today than they were in the past.
