Free swimming classes for over elevens in Bristol
Children in Bristol can learn to swim for free as part of a new government initiative.
Children signing up to free lessons will have the chance to take part in up to six hours worth of lessons taught by qualified instructors at council pools.
The scheme is currently running at Bristol South, Easton and Henbury with Jubilee, Bishopsworth and Horfield pools possibly joining later on in 2010.
Once the free lessons are completed a £20 free swimming lesson voucher will be given to those continuing with their classes.
Places will be limited so early enrolment is encouraged. To find out more, contact Alan Powell, on 07825 313 199.
