Parents hope children will work in law or architecture

Parents are hoping their children will settle for successful careers in law and architecture whilst in reality, young ones dream of teaching, professional football and medicine.

The discovery by the Aquafresh Mums’ Wish List report, surprisingly found that children were more grounded in reality than previously thought, rejecting celebrity careers in favour of more traditional roles.

Richard Branson and author JK Rowling were the famous faces mums most hoped their children would grow up to be like.

The report also found that ahead of career success, a mum’s biggest wish for their child was for them to have a family of their own and a happy marriage.
