Charity calling for entries for Great North Run
Keen runners are being urged to sign up for the popular Great North Run to help raise money for the National Autistic Society (NAS).
The event is the world’s biggest half marathon starting in Newcastle and ending at the coast in South Shields.
UK charity NAS, is dedicated to leading national and international initiatives to help autism sufferers and their families and it still has some guaranteed places left on their team of runners.
To sign up to the team, runners need to register by 1 July.
They will receive support, guides on training and fundraising and a free running vest to personalise.
NAS Director of Fundraising, Steve Cheshire said: “Please get in touch soon to ensure a place in the NAS team for the BUPA Great North Run. All of the money raised will help us to continue to provide services to some of the half a million people in the UK who are affected by autism.”
