Diet Supplements – Our Verdict
Loosing weight is a big deal. Many women live on a permanent diet. Some try surgery, others can’t afford to and look for more affordable methods. Of course we all know that eating healthily and maintaining an active lifestyle is one of the keys behind staying in shape. Well hells bells, no matter how hard we try to be healthy, our stressful, busy and hectic lifestyles sometimes dictate otherwise.
We decided that due to the huge psychological pressure women put upon themselves we couldn’t actively recommend trying out a diet supplement. But what we thought we would do is test them out and tell you how we got on with them.
Hoodia Mint
Hoodia Mint is a natural diet supplement made from the Hoodia Gordonii plant found in the deserts of Africa and other remote areas. This plant contains an active ingredient called P57, and it is this that according to tests is a potential appetite suppressor sending signals to the brain telling you your stomach is full.
We found that Hoodia really does make you feel full, and if you eat a sensible breakfast, you lose those niggling signs of hunger around 10 – 11 am. You take two tablets per day, recommended at 9am and 1pm. This is good as your don’t have to take it with meals, meaning that if you skip a meal you skip a tablet. More often than not, after eating breakfast I didn’t want to eat anything until about 2pm.
What I did find is that during the course of taking them I felt more thirsty than normal and drank more water.
They are really easy to take. The tablets have a minty taste and you can dissolve them, chew them or swallow them.
I took these tablets over the Christmas period, and though I didn’t lose any weight, I didn’t put any on either. This is a good result seeing that during the winter and especially Christmas, people’s calorie consumption increases anyway.
What we should also inform you is, over the course of typing up this article, four economy chocolate chip cookies were consumed.
There is no point trying to take a diet supplement without fully evaluating your overall lifestyle and eating habits. If you use pills as part of a diet, then afterwards go back to eating bad stuff, and increase your intake, then it is not rocket science that the weight will go back on.
Hoodia Mint is available in three sizes: one-week’s supply costs £13.25, three weeks £29.95 and six weeks £42.95.
