Bristol child safeguarding services ‘good’
Services in Bristol aiming to keep children safe and helping those in care have been rated as ‘good’ by Ofsted.
The latest inspection report out this week finds Bristol to be the first large city in England and Wales to receive this rating since the Ofsted inspection for safeguarding was introduced in June 2009.
There were areas highlighted in the report where further improvement and development was needed.
This included improved planning, reviews and better evaluations.
The report also found that social workers did have a high level of case-loads each.
Bristol Children and Young People’s Services currently employ a team of around 220 social workers with more due to be taken on.
