Parent poll shows some welcome corporal punishment in schools
A UK poll of parents’ opinions on the return of corporal punishment in schools shockingly found that 19 per cent would welcome the physical discipline back into the classroom.
Badly behaved children should take note that these parents believe it is necessary to help strengthen the child’s character and teach them right from wrong.
Of those one in five parents welcoming back the beating of children, 6 per cent believed the cane to be the most effective form of punishment.
Luckily for social services, the case loads shouldn’t increase too much as 68 per cent of parents polled by MyVoucherCodes.co.uk, found the idea of corporal punishment in schools ‘totally disgusting’.
