New musical theatre school to open in Bristol this September

A top musical theatre academy will be opening its brand new doors in Bristol this September aiming to turn stage struck children’s dreams into a reality.

The London based West End Workshop will be setting up home in the Grade ll-listed Clifton based Engineers’ House.

Children aged between eight and eighteen who are interested in learning musical theatres skills including acting, dancing and singing will be able to enrol in the Academy for three terms of weekly Saturday classes.

The Academy will be holding a special open day on Saturday 24 July from 10am until 1pm for families to see what’s on offer and sign up for classes.

The West End Workshop has already established its reputation in Bristol after several highly popular summer schools held at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School each year.

Academy director Mark Puddle said: “This exciting new venture follows on from our successful West End Summer Schools and ever developing partnership with the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. The Academy will provide young people the opportunity to study all aspects of Musical Theatre throughout the year.”
