Review: Colour Catcher from Dylon

Doing the family wash can be a nightmare with its blends of white, darks, pinks and denims.

Often, doing individual washes is not cost-effective as they can leave a half empty washing machine spinning away for hours. Waiting with a stinky pile of the – which wash do these clothes go in? – is useless for items which need a quick turnaround.

Chopsy Baby has been testing out Colour Catcher from Dylon, for several months, washing varying combinations of colours and garments.

The product allows a mixed load of washing by placing the Colour Catcher – a special sheet – at the back of the machine.

This product really does work and for really suspect dark items versus light, two sheets can be used instead. At the end of the wash, any dye which has come loose can be seen trapped in the Colour Catcher.

Being able to mix reds and whites, lights and blacks with this simple product is cost-effective with the minimal price you pay for the sheets far outweighing the money saved in water, electricity and powder.

The Colour Catcher is ideal for:

Baby clothes washes – that annoying mix of whites, baby pinks and tiny dark blue denims

For reassuring concerned youngsters when placing the beloved teddy into the wash
Does work with lights and blacks but do not use with first wash blacks

The Colour Catcher can be used at temperatures as low as 30 degrees.
