Bristol Play Day 2018 Brings Free Play Event to Central Bristol
Bristol Play Day 2018:
The annual Bristol Play Day will be bringing free outdoor play fun to central Bristol again this year, as College Green is taken over for free flow fun time.
The sixteenth event will run between 12 and 4pm on Wednesday 01 August with free entry.
The event is aimed at families with accompanied children up to the age of 12 years. There will be a variety of activities including sensory play, den building and games activities.
The site will be pushchair and wheelchair accessible with accessible toilets within the event space and a Changing Places toilet located within City Hall.
This year’s play day will also feature the launch of the new Bristol Children’s Charter – a series of ten pledges featuring aspirations for all children ‘without discrimination.’
This year’s event will also see the unveiling of the new Bristol Children’s Charter.
Cabinet Member for Women, Children and Families, Councillor Helen Godwin said: “Play is such an important part of the lives of children and families and Playday is the perfect showcase of the incredible network we have in this city. It’s so important to ensure that children have that chance to play and that we provide the opportunities for play to happen in our day to day lives.
“This is one of the reasons why we chose Playday as the day to unveil the city’s first ever charter for children that sets out the kind of place we want our children to live, grow up and develop in. I urge everyone with little ones to head on down to College Green for a fun afternoon of play and exploration.”
