Jen says: “My eighteen-month-old is going through a real Night Garden phase at the moment. She won’t go to bed without ‘Piggle’, and when the haunting music plays on the television, she is totally transfixed.
“Ragdoll Productions have a knack of creating magical worlds and characters that children simply love. This extends to the Goodnight Friends Upsy Daisy by Hasbro. It might be hard for adults to grasp why the characters and the toy versions of them are so popular. But think back to Cabbage Patch Dolls, Dogtanian, Care Bears and Bumble Bee Lion.S oft TV characters recreated through soft stuff and the sweat of the 1980s was as big a lure then as it is now.
“The cuddly, well made Upsy Daisy is just the right huggable size for little ones from around 18 months plus, though careful supervision will be needed with the shoes.
“My daughter loved her Daisy and little light. The story book itself is really a gesture and I thought it was the instructions at first. This doesn’t really matter if you have plenty of other books that can be ‘read’ to the toy.
