This photographic book is the first in a new series of Let’s Talk About… published by Campell Books.

Two-year-old Layla needs to move out of a cot and into a Big Bed. We share her experience through statements and photographs.

It has been created by children’s writer Stella Gurney and portrait photographer Fiona Freund.

Between them, they have created a really special book. Toddlers, especially those who refuse to sleep in their own bed, will be able to relate directly to Layla. The book is read through statements Layla makes rather than a storyline. This provides plenty of ‘talk about’ opportunities between the parent/carer and child reading the book.

The graphic design and illustrations are delightful, and coupled with Fiona Freund’s wonderful photography, young children can really relate to this book.

The hardback pages also make it ideal for two-year-olds to read to themselves without fear of them manhandling pages.

Bright and engaging, this book knows well that world of two-year-olds and the anguish of getting them to bed at night.
