Chopsy Baby is reviewing… Lite Sprites from WowWee
Lite Sprites from WowWee, are a range of light-up fairy friends that can cleverly change their colour remotely through a magic wand.
The main fairy, Prisma, comes with this magic wand and an in-built library of colours. Or, amazingly, you can select a colour from the room around you.
When you put the wand on a colourful object with a reasonably flat surface – that is not too dark, the wand can work out what the colour is. When you then point the wand at the fairies, you can make them change to this colour. Clever stuff.
There are five sprites and pods to collect. The Pods will all hang from the centrally themed Tree of Light – available separately. There are five play sets in total as well as four sets of light up pets. All sets are fully interactive with each other. The main starting point for the collection, is Prisma and the Lite Wand.

Charlotte says: “It has been a long time since we all had so much fun with a toy. And we don’t usually have so much fun with something so reasonably high-tech. I find my kids get bored with clever toys quite quickly. Not so the Lite Sprites. They all adored them. And I would never have thought a boy would like something like this as much as a girl. But I suppose if you take away the fairy faces, what you essentially have is little lights you could change to the colour of most things, even your hand.
“I was happy with the Sprites themselves. They are not too slutty like lots of girls’ toys. They are trendy girly type things but without the cleavage and too much trout pout.
“You can make the Lite Sprites change to the colour of your wall paper if you wanted to. The Lite Sprites have to be the most addictive fun, with my Lexie, Josh and Hannah all keen to play with them.
“They are best played with during the evening when it’s darker. It’s too bright in these summer evenings to get the full effect, but I can see this being a big Christmas toy.
“The quality of the toy is impressive. It’s sturdy and hard-wearing. Not bad for plastic. It has survived various knocks and bumps when the children were fighting for their go.
“I would totally recommend this as a good all-round family toy.”
Best of all…
A really clever toy, both boys and girls loved testing it out.
