Chopsy Baby is Reviewing… My First JCB On Site Charlie Crane Playset
Chopsy Baby Says: “Plenty of imaginative and dexterity play opportunities.”
Rating: 8/10
What is it?
This new play set features a construction site setting which is dominated by Charlie Crane. The play set includes a talking Charlie with large claw, three barrels, Joey JCB, foreman and bricks to stack.
In play, the crane will be able to collect barrels, move to either storage or JCB bucket. Bricks can be stacked to knock down and there are other features including a ramp, garage area and turntable.
The toy is easy to assemble but there will be some fiddling around placing stickers to begin with.
It’s quite a sturdy toy, with the main road areas malleable and bendy rather than easy break hard plastic.
The crane does come up with several phrases in a Northern Irish accent, but most of the play will centre around the connecting and moving of barrels as well as pushing the JCB up and down ramps.
It’s quite a diverse play set meaning you can buy more JCB kids toys to go with it, or even use small diecast cars you already own.

Three year old Amie with her mother Genny.
Genny says: “Amie really enjoyed playing with this and spent ages arranging the bricks then knocking them down again. She liked to explore which areas of the set the JCB would fit and quickly added other cars she owns to allow them to interact with each other. Initially, I thought it wouldn’t be that a great a toy. But it has been played with lots.”
