Chopsy Baby is Reviewing: Organic Children Sun Lotion

So we’ve finally had a show of sun in the UK. While it has gone back to being wet and windy, this is the perfect time to stock up on sun lotion.

For parents who are not keen on slathering their child’s body in chemicals, Organic Children have created a natural, non-greasy sun lotion especially for children.

This lotion is made with fairly traded ingredients and overall, 81 per cent of the contents are organic. The lotion includes natural ingredients Titanium dioxide, natural Cinnamic acid and Edelweiss extract.

A medium protection against UVA and UVB is given without containing Parabens, alcohol (ethyl alcohol, ethanol), Lanolin, phthalates, artificial perfumes, petrochemicals and colourants.

The formula is made water resistant with Beeswax which means though suitable for vegetarians, it is not compatible with vegan beliefs.

The lotion should be applied to the child’s body 30 minutes before sun exposure, then every two hours and each time after swimming.

Our Verdict: This is a really gentle formula for very young children which has proven effective for family use during periods of sunny weather. 8/10
