What is it?
Octonauts, let’s do this. This new Gup-X Launch & Rescue Vehicle from Fisher-Price, is sure to be a hit with youngsters this Christmas.
Based on the crazily popular CBBC series, the Gup-X features sounds, phrases, plenty of play pieces and a Captain Barnacles.
It’s really well made for a plastic TV merchandise style toy. You won’t be able to use this in the bath because it requires batteries. But, the slime shooter function will more than make up for this.
Pop some slime disks into the front of the Gup and pull the trigger to shoot them across the room.
Effectively, the Gup-X is three Gups in one. The full Octo-Tank which can then be broken down into the Octo-Glider and finally the Octo-Ski pops out the back. In total, there are 12 play piece all of which can be stored inside the Gup-X at the end of play.
The toys is suitable for children aged three years upwards, and though younger siblings will love to join in the Octonaut fun, do watch those small pieces going into mouths.

Mum Dylis Says: “Danny has been a big fan of the Octonauts but by now I would have thought he’d grown out of it. No such luck. He loved shooting the slime disks around the house. We all had to join in with the other characters to Rescue and Protect.
“Tammy likes the Octonauts too and for once they played really nicely together. There are enough pieces with this toy for siblings to share it.
“The best feature is the slime shooter. But I had to make sure it was kept on the floor and also found myself constantly having to fish around under furniture to find them again.”
Danny Says: “Yes this is good. You can shoot these pieces across the room. They knock down the baddies. I like it.”
