Dr Stoppard’s Trusted Advice series presents useful information in an easy to understand, quick to read way. They are quite useful as each book addresses the direct issues of a certain pregnancy or baby related area without becoming an overwhelming read.
As well as explaining what to expect at all those midwife appointments – and most likely answering the questions you will forget to ask your midwife, it includes guides and diagrams to all those confusing abbreviations you will see scrawled across yellow notes.
There are helpful sections on rhesus incompatibility, which is an added pregnancy surprise for some mothers.
And. At last there is a more useful explanation about why overdue babies are induced – which is down to them being post mature rather than footing all the blame at the placenta.
Best of all…
Dr Stoppard is great for producing books that use the simple words with the big pictures without being condescending.
