Families in Birmingham have the chance to be subject of bronze sculpture

Families in Birmingham still have the opportunity to become the face of the city as A Real Birmingham Family enters its final weeks.

One family will be chosen to model for a life-size bronze statue to be located permanently near the entrance of new Library of Birmingham from 2013.

Turner Prize-winner Gillian Wearing will be creating the piece and families can nominate themselves at www.arealbirminghamfamily.com

Nominations close on 31 March 2012.
