Johnson’s Kids’ Shiny Drops Haircare Products Reviewed
Johnson’s recently launched a new range of hair products, specifically for the needs of children.
It’s obvious when they are babies, with their fine wispy locks, but children’s hair grows very differently to adults. It contains less melanin and the medulla – the central core of hair – only develops in the thicker adult hair. The finer strands of children’s hair are more prone to breakages, knots and tangles.
This is why so much emphasis is placed on children’s hair care products. Different hair, different care.
Johnson’s is well known for their baby, toddler and child care products and this is a new one again. The new Shiny Drops range is a hypoallergenic formula developed for developing hair.
Johnson & Johnson Skincare Specialist Maxime Buffat says: “As your little ones’ imaginations grow, their hair changes too, with their wispy strands becoming thicker and stronger in time. Their hair remains much finer than adults’ and is more transparent, so it looks and feels softer, requiring delicate care.”
Coming in a shampoo, conditioner and spray bottle conditioner, this fruity scented product with its No More Tears concoction aims to utilise the argon oil and silk proteins for the daily upkeep of tangled kids’ manes. But does it actually work? Yes it does.
If you have a child with long hair, it can be an absolute pain washing, drying and brushing. Long hair tangles easily and brushing knots out just makes everyone feel sad. For children with Rapunzel hair, the Shiny Drops range is excellent. It has a fresh fruity smell and importantly, helps hair to untangle without the tears. If you are dealing with a really matted mess – think PVA gluing goes wrong, or painting the cardboard castle gets everywhere – then as a final weapon the spray in Shiny Drops Conditioner Spray can be brushed into damp, washed hair.
The Shiny Drops range really will help cross, tired children keep their tempers after bath time and keep hair clean and brushable.
