Kids can’t be bothered with sport

Finally, here’s some truth from a survey. According to research commissioned by the Royal Parks Foundation, children just can’t be bothered to play sport.

Nationally, 70 per cent of parents were concerned about their child’s lack of fitness.

More than 28 per cent of parents in the south west thought their children were unfit.

Social media and computer games were blamed by 46 per cent of parents with lazy children and one third blame a lack of access to sporting facilities.

But, 47 per cent of parents felt their own fitness levels were poor or even very poor with one in three having no personal interest in their own sporting levels of activity.
