Music Festivals, Rock and Hip Hop the Live Music of Choice in Bristol According to 02

Bristol gig goers prefer music festivals, rock or hip hop:

Adults in the UK are not experiencing live music, with more than 8 million people aged 18 and over never having set foot in a gig.

Further to this, 16 million people haven’t experienced live music in a decade according to a study from 02 of their customers.

The price of concerts puts many people off, whilst 23 per cent cannot stand the busy, crowded venues they are held in. One in seven say they won’t even considering going because they think they are too old.

The research also found that the most popular music genre in Bristol is music festivals, rock or hip hop. Leeds was the only other city that expressed a preference for music festivals, though people in Birmingham and Glasgow also said they liked hip hop.
