New kitchen opens at city farm

It’s all go at Windmill Hill City Farm these days and this month sees the official launch of its brand new café.

New kitchen facilities purchased with money donated by The Rotary Club of Bristol South, will see the café bringing their new menu of home-cooked food to visitors.

Food will be made with locally sourced produce, including some coming straight from the farm.

Catering manager Sue Mueller, took over running the café in September 2009 and has been creating simple, healthy and affordable menus to suit families visiting the farm.

She said: “ I am passionate about sharing my enjoyment of preparing and eating good, home-made food. Home cooking makes good food affordable and eating a pleasure. I am sure that the quality of affordability of the Café’s cooking will soon bring in new customers to at this unique South Bristol venue. Enjoying a delicious meal overlooking a working farm in the heart of Bedminster is an amazing experience”.
