Parents Take up to Four Weeks to get Back into the Swing of Term Time

We’ve finally struggled through to the end of week three this term and have only just about got into the swing of it.

But it’s not just us at Chopsy Towers struggling with the post holiday term. According to a study, it takes children an average of two weeks to get back to routine after school holidays and parents four weeks.

More than 2000 people took part in the poll by Hilarys.co.uk, which found 10 per cent of parents so tired, they fell asleep at work.

An 18 per cent of these parents found the peaceful sanctuary of the toilet cubicle an ideal spot to nod off, whilst 16 per cent kipped at their desk.

And if you are feeling grumpy, you are not alone. Snapping at colleagues and irritability factored into 21 per cent of parents’ days whilst they transitioned back into their January working day.
