Claire says: “It’s the same old story year after year. A month into the term is when the notices start going in the classroom windows. Head lice reported. It is frustrating because as soon as my child catches them it’s hard to break the cycle. I treat her straight away, but there must be parents who never bother.

“On the Friday before I started to test the What Nits products, I had already gone through three hours of combing out yet more head lice and doing a damn expensive hair treatment to make sure they had all gone.

Every Friday evening when she is watching something on the TV, I then run the scalp rub through her hair with a nit comb, just to make sure.

“It may seem a little military, but that’s how it seems to be with head lice. It’s not until your child gets them that you realise how hard it can be to get ride of them.
