REVIEW: Fireman Sam DVD Choppy Waters
Chopsy Baby is reviewing… Fireman Sam – Choppy Waters DVD
Hero Next Door, Fireman Sam, has come along way since his television debut in 1986. Twenty-five years later, with some slick 3D animation, new characters and the expansion of Pontypandy, Sam shows little sign of giving council tax payers a rest with a dazzling range of emergency services for every possible scenario.
Whilst some of the voice casting is a little too squeaky for adults, the storylines are gripping, full of safety messages, holding youngsters in thrall of those fire engines and heroic rescues.
This new DVD contains six episodes with nautical adventures and a running time of one hour.

Elizabeth May, mother to three-year-old son Charlie
“Charlie loves Fireman Sam and plays the DVDs on repeat constantly. He doesn’t seem to mind whether it’s the really old ones or the latest ones
“He has loved watching the Choppy Waters DVD as much as any of them. There aren’t an amazing range of extras but to be honest, but Charlie couldn’t care less about that and I would rather he wasn’t spending time playing games on the computer.
“It’s nice that the Fireman Sam series branched out to include rescues on the sea away from Pontypandy centre. It has given a more interesting set of story lines for the parents to put up with as well as the children.”
Best of all…
Continues with the strong safety messages of fire safety and awareness and now includes staying safe near the sea.
Could improve…
Sarah and James’ voice is too squeaky
Basically…
