Review: Simple Baby range
Popular skincare brand Simple, has relaunched its Simple Baby range, adding five new products and featuring baby friendly character Tiny Tatty Teddy.

Simple Baby Moisturising Wipes
From £1
Contains Chamomile Oil and Pro-Vitamin B5
This soft strong wet wipe is free from harsh or synthetic stenches. Adequately removes wee and poo from baby bottoms and ingrained coffee rings from tables.
New Simple Baby All-In-One Wash
£1.50
Contains Chamomile Oil and Pro-Vitamin B5
Lavender scent
Applied directly to a baby’s skin, we found this formula to be gentle on skin and suitable for use on older children too.
New Simple Baby Moisturising Bath
£1.50
Contains Chamomile Oil and Pro-Vitamin B5
Lavender scent
This bubble bath will work well as part of a bedtime routine. It has the gentle scent of lavender and despite foaming agents, we did not encounter any skin reaction when used on newborns. Leaves a gentle scent on baby skin rather than the sometimes overpowering smell of some of the extremely organic products.
New Simple Baby Moisturising Shampoo
£1.50
Contains Chamomile Oil and Pro-Vitamin B5
Lavender scent
Just a tiny amount of shampoo is needed for freshening up hair. Leaves it fluffy and soft.
All the products contain no perfume or colour and have been produced with delicate skin in mind. Extreme purists will notice Sodium Laureth Sulfate on the ingredients list. It is worth pointing out that this is also present in Asda’s Little Angel’s Eco Baby Shampoo which they call on their own website ‘Simply natural with no nasties.’
It is also present in the ‘clinically proven gentle formulas’ of Johnson’s Baby Wash, so a little bit of harsh detergent in our bath water has been safely mutating us for decades.
As a mid-range line of baby products, Simple Baby is pretty good. We tested it on a range of ages from six-weeks old, six years old and adult age. We found no skin irritation or reactions and the gentle formulas did not have strong overpowering scents. The products fall into the conveniently priced range – not so cheap as to be useless and not dear enough to stretch budgets.
Simple Baby is ideal for everyday family use.
