Hello…

July 2013 is sponsored by Government, keep your hands off the six week summer holiday

Hello. Yes, we are hitting that end of academic year had enough stage as well. And don’t worry, we have signed into our own late book for posting five days late. What does it say? Running late.

What You Need To Know…

This July, we would like to make it clear to Play Park Users how to share the space with other families.

Key Points To Remember:

Tie your barking dog on the fence right next to the gate. We all love to be intimidated.

If not, give it a run inside. We would be sad if our children are unable to pan for dog poo in the sand pit.

There is only one way to use the slide. Make sure your child stands at the bottom at all times so nobody else can come down. It is cute isn’t it.

Make sure you abandon your children for the next two hours so you can read your book. It’s not a problem when they go Lord of the Flies with all the toddlers.

Sand or wood chippings must be thrown at all times.

Hogging the only swing in the park for three hours is fine. We don’t mind.

And do let your teenager come into the park of an evening. Where would the added excitement be if there were no beer bottles and broken glass to contend with in the mornings.

Your Views…

Do you abide by schools’ 48 hours off rule when it comes to vomiting and diarrhoea?

“Always. I don’t think it’s fair on the child or teacher to send them in so soon after illness. I wish other parents wouldn’t either.”

Janaste Klitheroe
Mother of two

“Only if it’s car sickness and not a bug. Otherwise I would never get into work.”

Kloe Templer
Mother of three

“Usually. There have been a couple of times in ten years where I have had to send them in. They want parents to work so sometimes bad things happen.”

Grace Harding
Mother of three

Finally, Thought For The Month…

If you have a car, try really hard to use the orange flashing lights on its corners. They are really useful for letting us know which way you are going.
