Tried and Tested: Ariel Excel with Actilift

Most families find a washing powder that suits them and then they stick with it. The habit is easily fallen into. With the many varieties of washing powders and their multitude of claims clamouring for your attention along the fresh smelling aisle, going for the old favourite is tempting.

The new Ariel Excel with Actilift, out this month, is well worth a try.

It has been ten years in development and works at temperatures as low as 15 degrees.

Containing Actilift technology, it has been designed to prevent future stains as well as stain removal.

It smooths out the microscopic fibre hooks in clothes, lifting off dirt and offering long term protection.

Chopsy Baby reporters ditched their old faithful brands of washing powder for two weeks, to test drive the brand new Ariel Bio with Actilift gel.

We found that after just one wash, clothes were fresher and cleaner at lower temperatures such as 30 degrees, which some powders struggle to cope with. The gel doesn’t clog up the washing machine drawer with lumps of powder and there were no patchy white marks on clothing.

Despite initially having a strong aroma, it didn’t trigger or exacerbate any eczema episodes in one of our reporters prone to the condition.

The usual school stain suspects washed out of whites with no problem at all.

Ariel Bio with Actilift is available as a gel, powder, liquid, liquitab and tablet.
