TV licence fee to go up this April

If paying for the joy of watching the current TV schedule wasn’t bad enough, the price of a TV licence is about to go up.

From 1 April 2010, the fee for a black and white TV licence will increase from £48 to £49.

The cost of a colour TV licence is set to rise from £142.50 to £145.50.
