UK mothers made their own Mother’s Day lunch

UK mothers are making a rod for their own back by not teaching their children to cook.

Whilst our European counterparts in Italy woke up to a sumptuous Mother’s Day lunch prepared and cooked by their children, research by Pesto Pioneer Sacla found that less than one per cent of children in the UK will have cooked their mum lunch by themselves.

It seems that us UK mothers are too busy at work or too tired to teach our children essential baking skills, despite 75 per cent of parents believing cooking to be the second most important life skill after developing good relationships with people.
