Windmill Hill City Farm is a perfect introduction to farming

Windmill Hill City Farm, located in the heart of Bedminster, is the perfect place to take pre-school children in any weather.

With a gaggle of farm animals including goats, chickens, ducks, pigs and sheep, the farm is the ideal place to introduce supervised babies and children to farming and sustainable living without leaving the inner city.

A minutes walk from the bustling Bedminster East Street, the grounds are very family and buggy friendly with a good cafe providing well priced hot and cold drinks and meals.

There is also a small shop selling farm produce and ethical products.

The farm was developed on derelict ground and opened to the public in 1976. Since then it has become an important part of the local community, with people of all ages benefiting from social groups, support and educational courses.

Chopsy Baby highly recommends the farm to families. It is free to get into and from just £5.00 a year, families can join up as members supporting the farm and helping to ensure its future.
