31 per of parents’ babies suffers gender mistakes

Gender specific clothes for babies may save the face of the 31 per cent of parents whose baby’s gender is mistaken by a stranger.

The common problem happened mainly to babies below the age of six months and were committed mostly by men.

A 27 per cent of parents whose baby’s gender had been mistaken failed to correct the faux pas because they were too embarrassed.

The findings from BabyChild.org.uk, also discovered that 23 per cent of new mums were also mistakenly believed to still be pregnant despite having recently given birth.
