54 per cent of kids read book alone by five

A reading poll by World Wrestling Entertainment and The National Literacy Trust found that 54 per cent of British children have read their first book by the age of five.

But don’t worry of your child hasn’t made that milestone yet as 93 per cent finally completed their first book alone by the age of nine.
