Bristol FreeBus to trial free service in city

Bristol residents will be overjoyed to hear about a new free bus service launching in the city this coming weekend.

Non-profit organisation Bristol FreeBus, is aiming to provide a loop bus service around central Bristol.

The pilot trial will be taking place on the 10 and 11 of December 2010.

The organisation is calling for people to come to Temple Meads on Friday at 11am for the launch.

The initial trial route will take in Temple Meads, the city centre and Broadmead.

Should it prove successful, the service could expand citywide.

Though passengers do not have to pay, a donation is encouraged to keep the service running.

So far, the charity is being funded by membership and voluntary donations.

The fleet of buses will offer disabled access as well as room for bikes and prams where space allows.
