One in three people already know what they are getting for Christmas

Don’t look directly at them! One in three people in the UK already know what presents they are getting for Christmas because they have tracked them down.

According to a poll by Insurastore.com, 37 per cent of adults have sneakily looked for their gifts, with eight in ten managing to find them.

But these actions have caused 56 per cent to have regrets and the feeling that Christmas had been spoilt by their curiosity.

Those children who can’t resist the temptation to look are doing themselves out of presents.

A 53 per cent of parents who have had to hide their children’s presents well cannot remember where they have put them all.

Managing Director of  Insurastore.com, Paul Maddicott said: ‘’Kids aside, it seems even adults have a fascination for what Father Christmas might have bought them and keeping surprises under wraps is a considerable challenge in any household.

“Our poll found that women are worse than men.  It seems many ladies have succumbed to searching out their gifts – maybe for those who are at home alone for part of the day the enticement is just too much.”
