Free online courses to support single parents

Single parents will be able to access free online courses in life coaching and assertiveness thanks to a new Virtual Learning Centre.

The Single Parent Action Network (SPAN) has launched the centre to empower single parents through information, self-help support and offer help back into work.

Development Director for SPAN, Simon Bates says: “Giving children the best start in life with early intervention and parenting support is a key element of our work.

“We now anticipate the new Virtual Learning Centre will become a valuable tool to help single parents to gain the confidence they need, in order to take control of their lives.”
