The Baby Show finds women exercise more during pregnancy

A new UK study finds that pregnant women exercise for more than four hours every month.

According to findings by The Baby Show of 2,000 pregnant women , 31 per cent of women do not do any regular exercise.

But this figure dropped to 25 per cent once becoming pregnant.

The average number of hours pregnant women exercise for is two per week, compared to non-pregnant women who only manage one.

The most popular way to get exercise was swimming – 60 per cent – followed by power walking – 35 per cent – and then yoga – 23 per cent.

The Baby Show, will be taking place Earls Court London this week from 28-30 October 2011.
