Little Charley Bear is a character in a gentle CBeebies series voiced by James Corden. Charley Bear uses his imagination and make-believe to explore the world around him.

This toy is a plush version of Charlie Bear which makes a series of sounds and phrases.

When you squeeze the bear’s tummy he says a range of phrases including:

Hello Charley Bear, how are you today?
Are you there Charley Bear?
Part of the theme tune
Ah Charlie, you are my best friend.

The toy – around 34cm in length – is very soft to the touch and is suitable for children aged two years upwards. The fur does not come out easily, even when tugged reasonably hard. But avoid children sucking on it. Batteries are included – hurray. But when you come to replace them you will need 3 x LR44 batteries. These are the flat disc shaped ones.

The battery compartment is very well hidden with the fabric lying so flush that you have to search for the opening. The sound box can also be removed completely, just leaving it as a normal mute soft toy.

It’s been well thought out. Soft, well made and the sound box can be taken out.
