What is it?
Galt Toys have launched this brand new board game aimed at helping children aged 3 to 7 years of age with their counting. Players take it in turns to move around the Treasure Island board and fill their loot bag with the correct number of gold coins.

The game includes board, wind-up galleon, 24 playing coins and loot bag cards.

This is a really good board game that engages its young players as well as the adults. It provides enough interest without being overly fussy or complicated. Players move around the board either collecting a gold coin for their loot bag or must set the galleon pirate ship loose to reclaim its stolen treasure.

The wind up ship zooms aroound the board and is a really novel exciting aspect of the game.

The littlest sail snapped off on its very first use, which is surprising because this is a well made game. However, this has not detracted from the enjoyment of the game at all and does not hamper the ship’s function or movement.

Megan says: “I really liked the ship going round. That was fun.”

Sidney says: “I love counting. Rolling the dice and counting the pirate along is fun.

Best for ages:
Four years upwards

How much time can you get out of it?
About twenty minutes a time and our tester children didn’t get bored with it at all.

Best of all…
The ship racing around the board is a real novelty.

Could improve…
Managed to break one of the sails on the galleon straight away.

Basically…
An engaging board game to play with young children.
