Wallace and Gromit to feature in TV ads
Bristol animated favourites Wallace and Gromit will be appearing in a new TV advert.
In the 30-second advert for energy company Npower, Wallace gets caught in the buff showering when the boiler breaks down.
The every ready Gromit is quick on the phone to call out Npower to replace the boiler. This will be the first in a series of Npower adverts running over the next two years.
Each advert will see the pair coming up with more crazy schemes to keep their home as energy effective as possible.
The new advert took five weeks to film and used 10lbs of modelling clay to create the scenes and characters.
Head of Brand Communications at Npower, Joan Coe said: “Wallace and Gromit are the most famous film pairing in Britain. Their cosy personas and ‘have a go’ approach to energy efficiency is what we need to help people see how simple it is to make small changes but a big difference to their energy bills.”
