Asda pharmacies offering flu jab for £7

If you are not eligible for a free flu vaccination, but fancy improving your chances of being stricken down with the virus, Asda pharmacies are now offering the jab for just £7.

The supermarket has stocked up with 90,000 flu vaccinations to meet customer demand.

The vaccinations, currently the cheapest available on the high street, will be given by fully trained pharmacists.

A genuine case of the flu – not to be muddled with a bad cold – is a highly contagious virus that can cause risk to those over 65, pregnant women and other those with other respiratory diseases.

These groups of people may get their flu vaccination free of charge from GP surgeries.

Asda will be offering flu jabs to anyone else over the age of 16 years who are not suffering from a cold or fever.
