Donate your old Micro Scooter for Tumaini Children’s Home in Kenya

Micro Scooters are running a charity campaign, to send refurbished Micro Scooters to the Tumaini Children’s Home in Kenya.

Parents are being urged to send any Micro Scooters no longer being played with back to the company’s headquarters free of charge.

Each scooter will be safety checked, refurbished and sent to the children’s home for them to play with.

The orphanage takes care of children whose parents have died of aids, with many of the children also suffering from the disease themselves.

The company is planning on sending 60 scooters to Kenya at the end of the year, to make sure every child at the orphanage has their own to play with.

Families are also encouraged to include a letter with their scooter to add a personal touch to their donation.

Founders of Micro Scooters UK, Anna Gibson and Philippa Gogarty, said:“As mums ourselves, we know how invaluable scooters have been for our children. We hope that Scooter Aid can help less fortunate children rediscover their childhood through play – a gift no child should be without”.

Anyone who has a Micro Scooter they wish to donate to the scheme can visit www.micro-scooters.co.uk/community to download a postal return slip to send their scooter completely free of charge.
