99 per cent of parents keep our baby’s hospital ID band

We all love our Baby’s Firsts, confirmed with the fact that 99 per cent of mums keep their baby’s hospital ID band.

The Must Keep Chemical released shortly after childbirth ensures that 71 per cent of parents store their memories away in boxes and carrier bags under the bed, in the attic or other random ‘safe places’.

Other important Firsts kept by parents include: first shoes, first teddy, first tooth, newspaper clippings and even umbilical cords and belly button clips.

The findings by ClevaMama, mark the launch of their new Keepsake Suitcase, designed to store items collected as a baby grows.

Managing Director of ClevaMama, Suzanne Browne said: “The keepsake suitcase is designed to store the items that are collected as the child grows. The baby book includes documents to story from pregnancy to birth and beyond, and even includes a record of the news of the day – the price of a pint of milk, the average house price, the number one song and even fashion trends. A memento to cherish and look back on in years to come.”
