Lots of good books for the ages 2-6 bracket come along regularly. But rarely are they as great as this new book by Allan Ahlberg and Sebastien Braun.
The premise is simple. It’s all about a small boy who loves nothing more than kicking his football morning, noon and night.
The book is brilliantly illustrated, reminiscent of those classic 70s and 80s picture books we grew up with and loved.
As we read the simple rhyming words, we follow the small boy growing up to be a father, who continues to kick a ball at every opportunity.
It’s simple and very beautiful
